movember & scratch and sniff

Scratch & Sniff

Remember how big Scratch & Sniff was in the 80's? I remember a divine movie (VHS) coming with a scratch & sniff card - there are some things that you just don't want to scratch and sniff!!

MOvember man and his girls

Beards & Mo's are not my most favorite things BUT for a good cause it's ok...

time,time,time

turning 5

The little lady is turning 5 on Sunday. We are having a small party in the park with 12 of her friends from kinder.

She starts prep in Feb next year and we are currently in the midst of prep transition - they met there grade 6 buddy yesterday. We also purchased her uniforms yesterday and I could not believe the emotion it brought up!! Where did the past 5 years go?

prep next yearprep next year

I must say I am very happy to be bringing a new life into this world in April next year - the timing couldn't be better. Ok off I go to make some eyelashes or something...

just a thought...

so very true

The love we give away is the only love we keep.

dipping my toes in...

molly comforter

Molly has carried around her first ever cot sheet for the past 4 3/4 years. She loves it and it's her comforter. I spotted this sweet babushka fabric at amitie the other week and new it was what we needed to give the old sheet a rest. I sewed some bias binding around it and ta da! a half decent looking piece of material - MUCH better than a sheet!!

dory baby shower

I'm off to a baby shower on Sunday and I think you can never have enough singlets for baby so I finally cut up my favorite old pair of pj's and embellished a few singlets along with a draw string bag to keep 'em all together.

**********
I went to see Whip It the other day and LOVED IT! Of course I knew I would. It has made me want to get of my arse and go catch Kylies team in action. I know Sime will be digging the fishnets and tatts...

Purchased some new fabric this week and finished off the kinder quilts which go up for auction over the week-end.

Got some lovely craft books in the mail this week and will post about them soon.

Watching: Mad Men

Happy week-end to you and yours.

check in WIP

I've been feeling VERY average this first trimester VERY average. It's meant a lot of sleeping & lying on the couch. It's forced me to slow the f*%$ down. I don't do slow very well at all! It's given me time to think about lots of things, I've read a few books and finished 3 quilts!

I need to give the kinder quilts a good iron and then I'll show the front! Baby Millie is about 10 weeks old so I am happy with the time frame on that quilt. I do like a cheater fabric quilt - they are nice and quick but yet look stunning with hand quilting. the kinder quilts were kindly machine quilted by Judy (BIG THANKS).

I have started to document my completed project and WIP's on my side bar - keeping myself accountable and organised!

I must say it was very cool to get all the comments yesterday - you all made me feel very special and also that I have made the right decision to write my personal blog again.

Listening: The Avett Brothers - Emotionalism also their newbie I and Love and You - Summer 09/2010 here we come - so, so , so , so GOOD!! I haven't been this in love since the Drones & Wagons!!!
